Our first session will take place at the University College London end of January.
The translation Club, a partnership between Capitolina Books and the University College London (UCL) to promote contemporary Brazilian literature will hold its first session end of January (date tbc, via Eventbrite soon).
Professional and enthusiast translators are all welcome and encourage to attend the workshop that will be led by Dr Ana Claudia Suriani da Silva, Senior lecturer at the Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies, and Nara Vidal, writer and founder of Capitolina Books.
The first short story to be translated is "Fome" (Hunger) by award winning Sérgio Tavares.
To register your interest, email firstname.lastname@example.org or follow Capitolina Books on Facebook to register via EventBrite.
All the workshops are free to attend.
We hope you can share this initiative and enjoy a glass of wine with us whilst discussing Brazilian literature.
In the end of this project, we aim to publish a bilingual anthology with the attendees works.
